TANGO 2
Level: Intermediate // Advanced
This class will continue to build on material from our Tango 1 class, which is the hour before this one.
Each week we will focus in on a specific body mechanic that is key to your tango. (EX: pivot, axis).
Tango Conditioning // Hour 1
We will begin with individual exercises to find and place the movements in your body. We will then do partner exercises so you know how these skills are used to communicate with another person.
This is class is about building muscle memory. It’s a chance for you to hone the core elements that make up this dance so that you can communicate more clearly and stably with a partner. This class will be accessible to all levels, but especially helpful for intermediate and advanced dancers who want to bring a new level of quality to their dance.
Putting Mechanics into Tango Vocabulary // Hour 2
will take the body mechanic that was focused on in the first hour connect it to a specific piece of tango vocabulary. We will work with partners to see how to put it into the embrace and line of dance.
